What happens in the off hours, in the dressing room, in the hotel bathroom after your client leaves? Off-Duty Editions is a series of single-author poetry chapbooks that delve into identity, lyric, imagination, and in-between spaces, highlighting intersections with sex work, family, and culture.
Meet the poets
Evie Vigil is a multidisciplinary artist and facilitator from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their praxis engages writing, performance, film, lineage tending, somatics, deep listening and collaborative, intergenerational world building with artists, educators and erotic laborers existing along the cultural margins. They are currently co-creating a living archive, in ceremony with their Sephardic and Hispano crypto-Jewish community. Poetics of Devotion is their debut collection which will be released in summer of 2027.
Paz Deol is a writer and sex worker born and living on unceded Gadigal–Bidjigal land (Sydney, Australia). With a decade of experience, Paz examines white/Savarna feminism and violence in modern sex work, matriarchal wounds, myths and inheritances in her debut chapbook. Her writing reflects the femme body as both a desecrated and sanctified embodiment—in love, labour, mothers and mythology, oscillating between poetry, prose and hymn.
